My stay at Hotel Espresso had its ups and downs. While the location was excellent for exploring downtown and the staff were friendly, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of my room and the noise levels. The pool area, which looked inviting online, was not well maintained. Ultimately, it was an average experience overall.

Rooms
5.0
I found the room quite spacious and the beds comfortable, but it wasn't as clean as expected. There were gaps in the floorboards, dirt under furniture, and the towels I used were damaged. It felt more like a budget stay than a boutique experience.
Service
6.0
The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. However, I did notice some guests loitering around the reception area, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Location
7.0
The location was a big plus, only two blocks from Concordia University and close to the Bell Centre. But, it could get quite noisy with disturbances from outside and nearby guests at night.
Dining
5.0
There was no breakfast offered during my stay, which was a letdown. I would have appreciated a solid breakfast option.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel mentioned several amenities, but I noticed the pool area was unkept, and the elevators were out of service at times, adding to my frustrations.

My stay at Hotel Espresso was a mix of positives and negatives. The staff were friendly and the location was convenient, being close to the metro and downtown attractions. However, I did notice a lot of noise from construction and some questionable activities happening near the hotel, which made it feel less secure at times. Overall, it served its purpose, but I might look for alternatives next time.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, but the floors had noticeable gaps and it gave off a slightly outdated vibe. I appreciated that there were no carpets, which was a plus for cleanliness.
Service
8.0
The front desk staff were accommodating and friendly during check-in and throughout my stay, which really added to my experience.
Location
6.0
While the hotel is conveniently located near downtown, I felt uneasy due to the presence of a lot of people loitering outside, some of whom looked like they were not hotel guests.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were a bit disappointing as the lack of a proper breakfast service made it tough to grab a quick bite before heading out.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered basic facilities like laundry services, which were useful, but I was surprised not to find any restaurants available for paying guests.

I had a mixed experience during my stay. The location was fantastic, just a short walk from downtown and close to both public transport and major attractions. However, I did feel uneasy at times due to some unsavory individuals outside the hotel. While my room was clean and comfortable, there were issues with noise and heating that detracted from my overall satisfaction.

Rooms

My room was spacious and clean, complete with a mini-fridge and hairdryer, but the air conditioning failed during the night.
Service

The staff were friendly and accommodating, but I did experience some delays with responses to maintenance requests.

I found my stay at Hotel Espresso Montreal to be a mixed experience. The room was spacious and clean, which I appreciated, but there were also some concerns with the atmosphere and safety. The staff were friendly and helpful, yet I noticed that some guests created an uncomfortable environment due to noise levels. The location was great for exploring downtown, although I felt a bit uneasy at times.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. The amenities like the mini fridge and microwave were convenient, although I wish I could have used the coffee maker without issues. Overall, the room met my needs well.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. However, I had a couple of interactions with staff that felt off, like being refused a plate for the microwave. They could benefit from more customer service training.
Location

The hotel’s location is fantastic. It’s just a short walk to St. Catherine’s street and other attractions downtown. I really enjoyed the convenience, but I did notice a troubling demographic of guests that sometimes made me feel uneasy about safety.
Dining
5.0
Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't offer a full-service restaurant. Only a machine for snacks and drinks, which was disappointing. A breakfast option would have been a nice addition, especially for mornings on the run.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities are basic. There’s no restaurant, and the pool was closed during my stay. While the lobby had a souvenir shop, more dining options would enhance the experience.

My stay at Hotel Espresso was pretty decent overall. The location was fantastic, a short walk to Crescent Street and the Bell Centre. However, the service was hit or miss, with some staff being friendly while others weren't as accommodating. The room was clean and spacious, but I did face a few hiccups, like issues with the elevators and the Wi-Fi.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was large and clean, with hardwood floors which I really appreciated. However, there were some maintenance issues, like a broken fridge and the TV not working properly due to poor Wi-Fi.
Service

While some staff members were super friendly and helpful, I did encounter a few who were quite rude, which is a bit disappointing.
Location

The hotel's location is excellent, just a quick walk to all the best spots like Crescent Street and downtown. It has a great vibe.
Dining
5.0
There isn’t a restaurant on-site, which was a bit of a bummer. I had to venture out for meals, but there are plenty of options nearby.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities could use some improvement, like the limited pool hours and the elevators, which were occasionally out of service. But they did have a decent little souvenir shop in the lobby.
